I'm a huge fan of the the side air intakes painted to match the rest of the body. In my mind the black distracts from the lines of the car for all but the very darkest exterior colors. I prefer the front slats and rear fascia painted as well, though those changes may be less noticeable/impactful. You can use Porsche's configurator with your color choice to toggle with/without to see the difference(s).

Since you asked... I realize that some people like the air scoops body-colorled. To my eye the scoop is a nice style feature. The placement and angles enhance the visual effect of sleekness, reminiscent of the chrome fake scoops on the original '64 1/2 Mustang. So I like them visible, which means black. Of course, on my silver Cayman the effect is different from on a blue Boxster.

I like better the contrast made by the black parts... Actually, black parts are usually used to generate a more sporty look, e.g. the black side mirrors of T models, black wheels, GTS spoilers, black exhaust tips... I love the black air intakes as well.

For me, the black intakes work with black wheels but would also include the black door handles. I'm not a fan of black wheels so we did our intakes in body color. I'm very partial to that effect.

As much as I prefer the painted intakes in general, I have to say I like your Racing Yellow with black intakes to match the black wheels!

As with all these options, it's a pretty personal call. For me, painted intakes was an essential. It wasn't so much that I minded the bit of black detail on the side of the car as the look of the unfinished plastic. It just looked like a super cheap element on an otherwise elegant car. Even if I preferred the black, I'd have had it painted black. On that note, I saw a midnight blue Cayman on the floor with Agate grey intakes. Looked really nice actually.

Does anybody have their black air intakes painted the same as the car colour ? Im undecided if this would enhance the looks or not coloured the same?
I've waffled over adding painted intakes for the better part of a year. Our BS has black wheels and (like my grade school report card) they really "work and play well" together.

Still undecided  ?!?

Agreed, but personally, and this depends on the color of the car, but carbon fiber intakes look AAAAAMAAAAAZING on these vehicles. Initially I was going to paint match my intakes, but then I was like.. WAIT A MINUTE ---> CARBOM FIBER. BAM! Still keeps the contrast of the colors, but adds a bit more sportiness to it with it being carbon fiber. I believe someone has them for sale for around $300 shipped. So not a bad price for an easy upgrade.

I orders the painted side intakes and the body color rear valence.

Interesting! You opted for the aluminum window trim. That’s a rarity. I was going to do that on my build but painted white wheels option went away after 2019 MY. So silvery wheels give enough chrome pop for me.
