I haven't done a detailed comparison, but there are changes to the config. As mentioned elsewhere, standard seat upholstery in standard (black) seating and I found that clear tail lights no longer offered on base configuration - didn't check S or GTS. Anyway, for those looking, some things have changed or there are mistakes in config.

Hi,

where are you located? on the UK Configurator you have still the option of standard Black or Agate grey interior

tinted taillights are still an option
PSE Standard equipment and you can only order PDK at the moment

there are a few little changes like the model designation on the doors now an option and they have reduced the amount of standard colour choices but apart from that it all looks business as usual

U.S. Any changes may still be available and hidden in other options that I have not explored in detail. Someone with more time/interest may find them, but they are not obvious as they were before.

Hello from over the pond MLJJ

you may find once Porsche have sorted out all the cars for WLTP regulations the configurator will be sorted again, you cant actually order many of the models at the moment, well UK anyway... as far as I can see you can only order the Base 718 and GTS, also you can order 911 GTS models and Panamera GTS and the New Macan, all other model line ups are unavailable

so maybe once all model line ups are available again the configurator will be sorted

also I have herd rumors that they are going to discontinue the 718 "S" version, how true this is I do not know! but this could make sence as the 718 Base and GTS models are available to order

Found the clear tail lights in a "new" subsection of the Exterior options - Lights and Vision. Not sure about partial cloth on standard black seats. Someone with more time/interest can delve into the changes if there is an interest.

I wouldn't put much credence in those rumors. A few weeks ago the "rumor" was the base model was getting the axe. Neither make any sense. Why would they want to have a $22k gap between models? Particularly when the competition could easily fill in that gap? The Corvette specifically.

Nope, not gonna happen.

Edit:

Plus every single other Porsche model has an "S" variant. Why would they drop it for the Cayman/Boxster?
