So after just 7 weeks of pure bliss with my new base 718 Boxster –– I'm a total newbie to the brand and to high-end cars in general — I found myself unable to ignore the lure of adding a 718 Boxster S to the family.

Foolish, I know, but...what could I do?

She arrived this morning. Guards Red, black interior...and what's more, she fits very nicely in her new garage!

So my question is the Boxster (base) - will it just sit because the Red S is so alluring?

I remember at one point I had a Boxster (2005) and a Cayenne S (2009) and I switched but not as often as I thought I would. Learned to love the Cayenne S - comfort good getup with the V8. The poor Boxster sat in dust till I sold it. Have nothing against Boxsters (have had 3 over the years).'

3D printing is actually fairly simple if you have access to a 3D printer (as I do).

All the real work to generate the model is freely available on Thingiverse.

Well, admittedly my S is quite a bit slower than my base car, and its interior room isn't quite what I'm used to. That said, I'll never have to worry about PPF, ceramic coatings, detailing, road rash, or other drivers ?

Yea,..11.95 ADM is a bit unreasonable ?... don't want to go overboard I understand!

Think that's bad just purchased a GT3 with a real hefty ADM but my feeling is go big or go home.

In all seriousness, I've found myself seriously thinking about how I could possibly justify another Porsche. And my first one doesn't even have 1K miles on her yet!

Since my first Porsche is a base Boxster 6MT with an emphasis on 'comfort' and 'convenience' rather than 'performance' options, perhaps just to mix it up, a Cayman S with PDK and all the performance options would be a good add to my garage? Problem is, one of them would then have to become my daily driver (a task currently filled by a humble Mazda 3 that I actually quite like), and I cannot fathom parking a $90K car on the streets of San Francisco during the day. But...hmmm... I've clearly been bitten by the Porsche bug. If I wasn't about to drop a ludicrous sum on a new house, I suspect I'd be messing around on the 2019 configurator...?
