Personally I like the sound of the discharge air on a turbo car. I prefer not to get into opinions on this if we can avoid that. Since airflow on the 718 is metered by a MAP sensor mounted downstream of the diverter valve it’s my understanding that venting to the atmosphere rather than back Into the intake should have no impact other than sound. Has anyone done this or have reason not to. Please no “my dealer said, warranty, why would you want to?” But if anyone technical reason not to.
