I postponed my first 718 Boxster oil change till one year and 6K miles because it looked like a PITA based on all the posts I read, including jacking car at all corners and removing left rear wheel. Did mine today using only Rhino Ramps under the rears, and basic tools that I already had, with the exception of the low profile filter socket ($55 Suncoast) and a short length of old garden hose (to attach to the funnel outlet under the filter housing). I used the YouTube video "982 Cayman Oil Change" which shows a GTS with manual transmission, really well done video, all I needed to know, especially which bolts (4), plastic nuts (4) and Torex screws (6) to remove.
So if anybody is thinking this is a big job, it's not. Have at it.
