My '17 718 Cayman S seems to create a lot of soot on the inside of the tailpipes. It's dry and not oily and I have not noticed any issues with oil consumption. Before I stored it at the end of October, I had the dealer check it and they said everything is within specifications and didn't do anything. What do guys think?
It use to be gray....when there was lead in the gas. Oil burned at an other than normal combustion process shows itself in whitish smoke....residue in the exhaust system is totally normal and all cars have it.....you prob pay more attn. to your favorite car.
