I know this should probably be a stickied topic by now, but is there a good solution to remedy CarPlay disconnecting? Every time I hit a bump or take a fast turn CarPlay disconnects. It happens similarly with wired and wireless connections.

Glad my mom is not on this forum. I can hear her now "ay... so stop taking tight turns!" 😏
I have flaky connections where sometimes I start the car with the phone connected and it won't recognize car play but I have never heard of this and definitely doesn't sound right. I have taken 3 very spirited mountain drives with tight turns with my phone connected for navigation reasons and it has never disconnected. I have also done it in my GTI with phone connected either no issues. This sounds more serious than the normal flakiness. Has the dealer looked at it?
The short answer is no, there isn't a good solution because there are too many different reasons. The only thing that makes sense for your issue is either the cable(s) connecting the car to the phone and/or the wireless dongle are faulty or the USB outlet and circuit that you are connecting to is the problem. Cables are the first choice - checking the outlet will be harder.
My CarlinKit 4.0 works perfectly, except for this issue. If I open, then shut the console lid in a heavy handed fashion, CarlinKit disconnects. Then, it reconnects in 10 to 15 seconds. I rarely access the console, so it's not been a significant issue. Regardless, I suspect the culprit is the cheap USB cable CarlinKit supplied with the wireless CarPlay adapter. I'll probably install another USB cord one of these days....or not.
I use thr $50 Porsche branded coiled cable with swivel USB connection. It is amazing. I would definitely try a high quality cable and the Porsche one is great for lightning connector. I don't know if they make it for C
I found my Cayman to be picky about cables. When I went to take delivery of my Cayman I had grabbed the USB A to C cord out of the Miata which had always worked perfectly in that car for CarPlay. And I had non-stop CarPlay issues the whole way home. Swapped out to another cable later and haven't had another problem.
I bought a Carlink about a month ago and it worked flawlessly up until the day it died (a couple of days ago). I have no clue what happened to the gizmo.
