Hi all -
Just picked up a 718 Cayman 2.0, with very few "luxury" options, but many great sporty features including 6-speed Manual, PTV/mechanical locking diff, PASM, and Sport Chrono.
This car replaces a Fiat 124 Spider Abarth (fiata) as my daily, and canyon carver, and we'll see how it fares against a long line of dedicated race, track, and autocross cars I have built up over the last 20 years.
Initial impressions after just a few hundred miles are very positive! I have had the good fortune to spend time behind the wheel of a 930 turbo, as well as a 996 turbo, and a few old air cooled 911s of various vintages. This 718 is certainly more modern, but the feel is remarkably similar to all those earlier cars - especially in the steering and braking.
I'm already learning some great things from this community - hoping to contribute back as I get more miles/experience with the car!
