After 2 months of ownership I finally had my first run in with the law. While filling my tank with gas someone on the other side of the pump asked, "Is that a Cayman?" When I looked up to respond I noticed it was a State police officer - gulp! He went on to tell me how he always liked the Cayman's style. We chatted for a bit about what was new about the 718, and just before he sped off he said, "Beautiful car, enjoy your ride."

Now that's the kind of run in with the law that I can live with.

Cops are car people, too. What a great encounter.
:)

I ran a Moto Guzzi California for many years and always talked to the motorcycle cops that frequented the same refreshment stops.

Now I do the same when out in the Boxster.

I've had lots of good chats, got valuable information, and heard frequently that they too hated the down-rated speed limits on 'fun' roads. They have also pointed me to some great new routes to try.
