I'm a new member and this is my first post. I'm the lucky owner of a 2018 718 Cayman S. The front center grill is a "box". Is it intended for aerodynamics? I'd like to replace it at the same time I install mesh front side grills.

The 718 base and S only have 2 rads but with sport design package and with the GTS you also get the center rad, thats why

Fast man, I have the front side grills and left the box au naturel. However, some folks like the aethetics of the mesh and put it in all three places (sides and center), but leave the box as is.

It's for the center radiator. I will be retrofitting it into my S, the car definitely benefits from the extra cooling from what I've seen.

i'd love to see something about this claim. i have had my '17 CS on track in 100+ temp days (so probably around 125+ on the track) beating the snot out of it and never had a problem with overheating. i can eat through a tank of gas in under an hour, so i really am beating it up
