I just completed a swap out of the Aluminum trim in my 2019 718 Cayman GTS to Lava Orange so now I would like to sell the Aluminum stuff.

I have all the pieces and everything in in like new condition including the:

Complete Cupholder assembly with 3 aluminum trim doors
Aluminum Ignition Switch
Aluminium Dash Trim Kit
Aluminum Console Trim Kit

Asking $600 shipped to anywhere in US

Let me know

Looks great orlandoguy - I am not a big fan of some colors on the interior parts, but your lava orange looks really good.

Not to diverge off the topic at hand of you selling the brushed aluminum parts, but has anyone painted, wrapped or done anything to cover/replace the silver on the trim surrounding the air vents and steering wheel inserts? I am not a fan of the shiny silver on those parts and would love to black them out or something to make them darker.

Yes, I tried a CF wrap with the currently rated "best" product by Vvivid.
It wasn't realistic enough for me and I removed it.

Thanks InTgr8r,

Since I have the factory real carbon trim pieces, I am thinking that carbon wrap would not be great for me, because even if it looked good, it likely would not match and would drive me crazy.

Maybe I could do it with a flat black wrap though.

Were the trim rings on the air vents easy enough to remove?

Has anyone removed the steering wheel inserts? Looks like they have simple screws to remove those.

Look into 3Ms Carbon wrap material. I do vinyl signage and decals as a side hustle, and do a few wraps a year for SEMA. 3M is my vinyl of choice, but will use other vinyls at the request of a customer. 3Ms carbon fiber actually feels like carbon fiber.

I think it's the aluminum look aluminum. It's definitely not real aluminum
Then it is the standard plastic trim coated to look like a metal trim that comes with the car (they had a fancy name for it but can't remember what it is).
The optional Brushed Aluminium trim is real aluminium that looks and feels fantastic.

Am I missing something here? If that is the base trim, we all either have it or an upgrade surely?
Correct, but someone who has bought a used 718 with an upgraded trim and who wants to "downgrade" to standard trim might just be interested.
I personally think the standard alu-look trim is the best looking trim for the car despite the glare problem, so if I had bought my car used with e.g. painted or wooden trim I definitely would be interested in downgrading to "base" trim.
