thought some of you may get a chuckle out of this. was running at the track and ran out of gas for the 4th time over the weekend, went in to town to fill up and snapped this pic. for those of you who do not wish to do math it comes out to 6.8mpg :)

Base, S, or GTS?

How long were your sessions?

What were oil and coolant temps?
Ambient temps?

Thanks

some were 25 mins, some 30, last 2 on sunday were 45. friday was open lapping day so my sessions were run until i got tired.

temps were all over the place, from low 40s to high 70s throughout the weekend. friday was clear and in the 50s, saturday was in the 50-60s until the rain came, then down to low 50s, sunday was low 50s and rain to start but by 2pm the rain stopped and the sun came out and by 5 it was 79 and sunny.

not sure on the oil and coolant temps. i don't run tpms in my track wheels so that error is usually up on my screen :)

Did you run in the rain? Or do you park it and wait for the track to dry out?

that depends on which track i am at. for example at pittrace i would run in the rain all day long, but at mid-ohio i don't bother. i have been driving that track for 10+ years and the rainline is practically non-existent anymore. there is so much sealer on the track that even the slightest trickling of raindrops turns it into a sheet of ice.

So you couldn't just hit the steering wheel button or lever (whichever your car has) and dismiss that alert so you could monitor what the engine was doing (temperature wise)?

ya, i did but i could not tell you what the exact temps were. they never went into the "danger zone" area if that helps.
