I thought it might be good to start a thread listing great Porsche dealer services you have received. This will help other forumnites to determine where to take their cars for service near them. The hope is to have listing of places to go and avoid places that provides bad service, and therefore not on this list.

I have four Porsche dealers within 20 miles of me, so would love to know which dealer to go for service from those in the Bay Area.

The four near me are:
Porsche Burlingame
Carlsen Redwood City
Porsche Fremont
Porsche of Stevens Creek

Within 50 miles also include:
Livermore Porsche
Walnut Creek Porsche
Marin Porsche

Wouldn't this thread make more sense in the region specific sub-forums? I'm on the opposite coast of you. :)
I am not looking for an immediate recommendation for myself, but rather thinking of having this thread as a resource containing names of great dealership to work with for all Porsche owners. As an example, I listed seven dealers around me, but don't have any experience with them yet. And if I experience great service, would start naming them on the thread.

Rather than having a negative list of where to avoid, my hope is to have a positive listing of some place that consistently do the customers right. Thank you!

My guys are in Fairfield, CT. They do a great job. Free pick up and drop off. They come to your house, get the car and then return it when they are finished. Give them a call, tell them I sent you. Let know what they say...:D

My dealer is in Burlington, MA. I've dealt with the service department a few times, have been impressed at how friendly and informative they were. And so far I've had to spend nothing! The salesman was also accommodating and helpful, with a nice personal touch. If I'm in the market for another car in, say, ten years then unless something happens to change my opinion I will probably go back there to buy whatever electric sports car Porsche is offering.

This is good to know, as this is the dealer closest to me. A colleague of mine has a Maccan and suggested the one in Westwood instead as a better place for service. But I figured I'll try the Burlington one first and decide if I want to go farther if I don't like the service.

I bought my 718 new from Sam Pham at Carlsen in Redwood City. Sam is great, knowledgeable, helpful, no-pressure. I'd buy from him again.

As for service, I've only had one -- at Burlingame. Pretty straightforward. I did enjoy the Cayman loaner :)

For this thread to work as intended, I feel two things need to happen:

- A 'master list' of recommendations must be maintained in the original post by either @sevencyclist or one of the Mods (I'll volunteer if the OP can't or doesn't want to)
- Each recommendation must include the correct, proper name of the service provider, as well as the city/state/country it is located in (i.o.w., spill the beans on your place in Conn., @Semitone ... ;) )

That way it can benefit all 718Forum members -- even the international ones -- and won't get buried.

Also, one final piece of advice: Don't badmouth poor service providers. Let's keep this thread about positive experiences so it's streamlined.

I'll start out. Of course I harbor some trepidation that some of you, having had bad experiences with them yourselves, will conclude that I'm just a naive fool who hasn't seen their bad side yet. Well, so be it. So far my experiences thee have been very good indeed.

Viffermike is correct, in that should anyone personally choose to, they should only ever provide recommendations. There can be often be good & bad in any dealership & my own experiences would greatly substantiate that. It simply wouldn't be fair to give a dealership, salesperson or anyone else a bad name, based purely on a members say so. In any case who's to say that any of our members allegations are the gospel truth of any disagreement? Where would be the dealership or criticised individuals right to reply? To not give them the full opportunity to defend themselves can never be the right way to go & therefore it's surely far better just to praise those that have given you exemplary service & leave it at that. With enough recommendations for those that truly excel it'll eventually work out pretty much the same in the long run anyway.

I'm 7 months into Porsche ownership and have had great service at Grapevine, TX Porsche exclusive dealership.
(Dallas-Fort Worth)

Joshua Slanker gave me loaner Macans for two of my three hour services and did not even try to charge me for covered service (oil change and side intake grills). He did charge me for my new tires though :D

No hard sell, just courteous and respectful service.

Love going there and would if I was not 3 hours away.

Stevens Creek is SUPER close. Although I didn't buy my car there I did buy my extended warranty and tire protection and maintenance package there. It's been...ok. They've done everything when they said they would, although I have yet to get a loaner from them. They did have issues with my alignment - the paperwork came back "red", and when I was picking up the car no one could explain why. Turns out they couldn't get the computer to show the car with PASM, so my numbers are right but they're not right on the paperwork. I may do tires there so they said they'd check it again. Polite and everything, but not stunning.
