How many of you are interested would buy it if it was only available with PDK?How many GT4 takers are amongst us?
...For those who may have forgotten, I'm still in! Downpayment placed almost a year ago. Spent New Year's Eve day at the dealership getting an early start on potential must haves and have nots, as well as options that I'm on the fence about. Even handed them another check to add to my downpayment. So yes, I'm all in. It will be an evolution of the first generation GT4 and it too will be one fantastic sports car...Can't wait!...How many GT4 takers are amongst us?
I would actually prefer PDK to manual but that’s just me. As I have said before PDK makes me look like I know what I am doing. How many of you are interested would buy it if it was only available with PDK?
In fact I'm only interested if it is PDK!I would actually prefer PDK to manual but that’s just me. As I have said before PDK makes me look like I know what I am doing.
I recently spoke to my SA and he doesn’t know if PDK will available with the next iteration of the GT4 but I am hopeful. In fact I'm only interested if it is PDK!
I would be more worried that a manual is no longer offered with the new GT4. PDK is a given just by looking at the direction Porsche is going. Also a lot harder to break the PDK these days then a manual - fewer warranty issues for Porsche. From what I saw today this will be a great car but not that much better for me to trade my 981 GT4 - essentially the same engine with a tune I could get for my car as well down the road. Especially if the manual is no longer offered.I recently spoke to my SA and he doesn’t know if PDK will available with the next iteration of the GT4 but I am hopeful.
I have test driven a few GT4s and they are impressive machines. You probably posted pictures in the past but a few more won’t hurt.I would be more worried that a manual is no longer offered with the new GT4. I wonder if the "fans" are going to see this engine choice as a vote of no confidence in the turbo 4s?
I picked up my 2018 CGTS this past summer. I regret nothing.I would say that as a first time Porsche buyer I regret buying my GTS now.
nope? considering that it's a $150k racecar and turbo motors still are problematic rules-wise in many racing series.... it makes sense that it's NA.I wonder if the "fans" are going to see this engine choice as a vote of no confidence in the turbo 4s?
I mean, ok, so you were gonna drop the other $60k on this instead?I would say that as a first time Porsche buyer I regret buying my GTS now.
There is some merit to your comments but be aware that some people purchased the GT4s as investment and that is completely ill-advised when it comes to most automobiles. Automobiles, Porsches or otherwise, are depreciating assets. Having said that I drove two GT4s the ones with the bucket seats were mighty uncomfortable, for me at least, but I found the one I drove with the 4 way seats much better. The biggest issue for me was the significant amount of tension in the clutch pedal that was not all that fun especially in traffic. I would much prefer a PDK option in the future. Thirty plus years of manual transmissions is enough for me..........I'll pass on the GT4. I sat in one last Monday and was struck by how hard the seat was. As I investigated GT4's further on Car Guru's I found a large number for sale, and many had multiple owners. To me, that is the market saying " I tried the GT4 and it was not for me".
"I bought this car because someone told me it would go up in price because the 718 is a 4 banger"I'll pass on the GT4. I sat in one last Monday and was struck by how hard the seat was.
