GTS 4.0 now up. I configured one as closely as I could to our GTS 2.5 and it seems my price delta would be about $7.5K. Now standard items that I did not select as options are probably <$1K of that.

PDK is included on the configurator. When you consider the additional equipment included compared to the 2.5, I roughly figure it's about $4-$5k more compared to comparable 4-cylinder GTS. The Premium Package makes a lot more sense than it did on the 4-cylinder.

One year Base Price difference, technically I don't think there was a 2020 GTS in USA, so this is really a Two Year Price difference from 2019 to 2021 models (2019->2021), GTS vs. GTS 4.0 is $6,100.

I guess that's how much the F6 is worth. They do also throw in a few extra features, but then again those are standard on all trims now, such as Seat Heating (previously $530), Apple CarPlay (previously $360), and 2-Zone Automatic Climate Control ($770).

More info:
Ours is a 2018 CGTS with 6sp. It's MSRP with shipping etc was <$92K. The new 4.0 comparably equipped is $98K. The delta is actually around $6K, so really about $5K with the now standard options considered.
One option they eliminated is painted side intakes. Too bad as I think that option really makes certain colors.

I will be curious to check one out sometime. My 18 GTS was just over $84K as ordered and I got 6% off from that. I do like that the 2021 car has more standard options, but none of them are that big of a deal. Equipped similarly to mine, a 2021 would be $91,730; a $7,310 MSRP premium.

Is there really $7K more in emotional connection with the NA flat 6? There certainly won't be that much of a performance difference between the two model years.

Unless I missed an option my differential between my 2019 GTS and an identically configured 4.0 GTS is $4,300. Apple CarPlay, heated seats, and the enhanced black PDLS xenon lights are now standard.

I compared base price (excluding delivery charge). Base Price on 2018 GTS (what I have) was $79,800, Base Price on 2019 GTS was $80,700; Base Price on 2021 GTS 4.0 is $86,800.

Are you factoring in the extra, now included as standard, options, i.e. CarPlay, Heated Seats, 2-zone Climate Control, and (can someone explain to me what are) enhanced black PDLS Xenon Lights, to arrive at your $4,300 number?

I configured the 2021 4.0 GTS exactly the same as my car. I could not add heated seats, and the black PDLS because they are now standard. I also could not add Apple Car Play so I assumed it too was now standard. So yes, the $4,300 includes the benefit of those three items now being standard.

I'd love to see what the direct performance differences between the 2.5 f4 vs the 4.0 6 are. In both PDK and manual transmission.

How big of a gap is there? How different do they feel? Low end? High end?

I wonder what the depreciation curve on the 4.0 will look like compared to the rest of the 718 lineup. I expect it might be flatter, and I suspect they may return an even bigger premium over comparable 2.5s (simply due to rarity, not because of a performance difference, real or imaginary) when they find their way to the used car market.

I thought strictly manual for the time being was for the GT4
Nope, it applies to the GTS 4.0 as well - announced with manual transmission only with PDK to follow later.

If it is now available to order maybe this is why it disappeared from the configurator for a while i.e. to be updated (as I suggested on another thread about it now being on the configurator).

That was in 2019/early 2020. By June 2020 Car & Driver quoted PDK available for the GTS 4.0. I am not sure about the timing for GT4 PDK, but for me and for practical purposes I considered the GTS as available with PDK from the start. Your theory about the disappearance from the configurator to update options has merit.

Dropped by my “local” Dealer today on the way to an appointment and began hashing different color combinations. Decided I wouldn’t be happy with Python Green...and Sapphire Blue Metallic is no longer an option.

Thus, I’m Considering GT Silver or Dolomite Silver Metallic. Took both out into the sun with a couple of interior combinations. Decided I really couldn’t tell much difference between GT Silver or Dolomite Silver metallic.

IMO Dolomite appears marginally lighter and maybe has some blue...then again, I’m a total goof with this sort of thing.

I like both...anyone know if any of the Porsche silver colors have blue in them?
