Welcome. This has become my Go To forum. I used to be most active on another one but the founder and primary administrator left that forum and, I believe, is now on this one. Civility and purpose seem to follow him......ergo so did I. I also just took delivery a week ago of my 2019 Cayman and that other forum has precious little content for same.

Welcome ran888!

I've been driving my 718 Boxster around Sydney for the past 7 months (also my first Porsche). The honeymoon period still isn't over... I'm loving every drive.

Would you care to share your car's spec and/or a picture or two?

Thanks for the welcome Ian718.

I'm going through the same feelings as yourself. None of my previous cars has made me want to drive as much as the CS!

2016 CS Miami blue, Sport chrono, satin black carrera S wheels, Sports exhaust with black tips, Black racing stripes (came with car) and few other nik naks.

These are the only Photos I've taken so far. Looking to go for a drive with a photographer mate of mine and get some nice snaps!

Looks fantastic ran888!

There is a Miami blue 718 Cayman that I always see driving around the north sydney region (I still take notice of any 718 since they are fairly rare in sydney). It is definitely a head turning colour!

Yours is even more striking with the black wheels, black exhaust and black racing stripes ?

I am waiting on a GTS model so no drives for me yet. Although the S's are great buying at the moment and performance is near identical so it has been a hard decision to make. What part of Sydney are you? I live not far from Sydney Prestige. They always have some great quality cars.
When are you taking delivery? You must feel like a kid waiting for Christmas! I live in Wentworth point. The decision to buy another car was made in a couple days. They say rushed decisions often breed regret. Not in this case :) Hope to see you around Sydney mate.

Thanks Ian, I am definitely loving the colour scheme the original owner spec'd the car with. The black and miami blue goes really well together. Hope to see you around Sydney mate.

Yeah, it is a real test in patience and still at least a few months away. I am waiting to sell my current car to pay for it so the changeover isn't so much. Your buy was certainly a more sane decision, albeit rushed. I think I spent too much time thinking about it an just ended up spending more money!

I found myself watching every 718 youtube video I could find while waiting an excruciating 24 hours before I picked up my car. Couple months would be the end of me.

What are you looking to sell?

I received a really good deal trading in my c43 amg so I "had" to upgrade :p

Hey Guys,

Nice to meet you all. Just purchased a 2nd hand 718 CS from Australia. First time Porsche owner and loving it so far!

Was great reading through these forums and seeing limited to no toxic behavior. Looking forward to being apart of the community.
Welcome (to the best 718 forum I know).
Just read these two posts, now I know why I find this the best forum :)

Love the forum, looking forward to owning the Porsche :D

I'd imagine you would have gotten good money for the C43. You certainly have gotten into a very different car!

Bit the same for me. I have an old B5 RS4 so I might have to be patient to sell it. Not worth much as a trade in but worth quite a bit to an enthusiast and only 52,000kms and only 1 of 48 in Aus. None came to the US.

I was happy with the money I received for the c43 and yes very different car! Loving the 718 much more.

You must be sad to see her go mate. But alas the 718 awaits :)
