Hi all. Just joined the forum. I’ve used the Planet-9 forum in the past, where I had the same username.
I am now on my third Cayman in a row. I started in June 2014 with a 2010 987.2 manual Cayman S in Basalt Black Metallic. I spent a lot of money modifying that car - mainly the interior but also a Carnewal exhaust and a Softronic re-map. In January 2017 I bought a 981 PDK Cayman GTS in Metallic Black with the carbon bucket seats ?. The only real modification I made to that car was to add a 718 Cayman / 981 Cayman GT4 style steering wheel with deviated stitching (and accompanying steering wheel column). Then in December 2018 I took delivery of my current car. It was my first ever factory order car, a 718 PDK Cayman GTS in Night Blue Metallic with full Espresso leather interior (I’m not a big fan of alcantara and really wanted a brown interior) and the Turbo alloy wheels. I absolutely love this car. The only modifications I have made to it so far are adding Zunsport protective grilles at the front, getting the front splitter painted body colour and getting a full detail and ceramic coating (all visible in last photo). I think the 718 generation combines the best looking parts of the two previous generations and is a really beautiful car!
I look forward to contributing to many discussions and getting the most out of the forum.
