Hi all. Just joined the forum. I’ve used the Planet-9 forum in the past, where I had the same username.

I am now on my third Cayman in a row. I started in June 2014 with a 2010 987.2 manual Cayman S in Basalt Black Metallic. I spent a lot of money modifying that car - mainly the interior but also a Carnewal exhaust and a Softronic re-map. In January 2017 I bought a 981 PDK Cayman GTS in Metallic Black with the carbon bucket seats ?. The only real modification I made to that car was to add a 718 Cayman / 981 Cayman GT4 style steering wheel with deviated stitching (and accompanying steering wheel column). Then in December 2018 I took delivery of my current car. It was my first ever factory order car, a 718 PDK Cayman GTS in Night Blue Metallic with full Espresso leather interior (I’m not a big fan of alcantara and really wanted a brown interior) and the Turbo alloy wheels. I absolutely love this car. The only modifications I have made to it so far are adding Zunsport protective grilles at the front, getting the front splitter painted body colour and getting a full detail and ceramic coating (all visible in last photo). I think the 718 generation combines the best looking parts of the two previous generations and is a really beautiful car!

I look forward to contributing to many discussions and getting the most out of the forum.

Toby

Looks amazing! I've recently ordered a CGTS as well but it won't arrive until December here in Mallorca. I've been seriously considering the 911 Turbo wheels like you have here vs the black carrera s wheels that come as standard. I like them both in very different ways... turbo wheels looks classier, the carrera wheels look sportier... still haven't decided 100% and seeing the pics of your car is making me think about it again before my build gets locked. Enjoy it!!

Welcome! Edinburgh is one of my favorite cities in the world! If I still had a cat, I'd post a picture of him with the name Robert the Bruce! ;-)
