First- great forum! Looking forward to more discussions... I've already read a lot.

Just purchased a 2019 Cayman S and I'm both excited and anxious! I've had a couple test drives but couldn't seem to find the configuration I wanted... I was looking for a base model with minimal options.. but I wanted a stick and loved the Night Blue Metallic or Carmine Red. Suffice to say it really does help to buy at the end of the month/quarter sometimes!

I ended up buying a Night Blue Metallic Cayman S with a few nice goodies I wanted- leather, 14 way seats with memory, Chrono package and a couple others. Picking it up tonight I hope!!

The only down side of buying such a beautiful car is trying to find a good way to attach the front plate!!! Oh and now I really have a reason to clean my garage!

Figuring out exactly what/how the Chrono Package does in each mode is a bit of a challenge too... :D

Congrats on the purchase and Hello from another MA-hole. :) I bought my 2018 C in NY and they already had the front plate mounted, so I didn't have to struggle with that and it looks fine right in the middle.

Did you go with the stick?

Yes... the stick was a must have.

The plate mounting has me obsessed... I almost wish it was already just installed like yours... if I keep it for a good long time it doesn't matter!

Welcome! The eastern USA is finally feeling the effects of Spring....at least where I am in NJ.

Hope you are able to get out a drive your new car as much as you want.

As for front plates, some folks "take a chance", while others just stash the front tag under the windshield. Others choose the tow-hook mount or other creative methods.

My base car doesn't have a central front oil cooler so I did it this way:

Thanks- I'm going to take a chance until I get the Skene bracket. I'll try that out.

I didn't think putting a plate under the windshield would cut it? Would be annoying long term anyway.

Congrats from CT. I haven't installed my front plate - it's still in the frunk. So far, no issues from the men/women in blue.

Just picked my Boxster this past weekend. I instructed the salesperson to be sure the NY plate was place in the Frunk with the mount. Why ruin a beautiful front end?

That's exactly what I did.

If you find yourself sleeping in it overnight that's when you know you have a real problem.
