Hi Guys, New to this forum and would just like to say hello.

Bellow are a few photos of my 718 S in the best color combo in my view!

Anybody know how to service park the roof so I can get to the air filter?

Cheers.

I agree. It is the nicest color. My CGTS is yellow, with gloss black accents , and CCB's because I wanted the yellow calipers and no brake dust. You are making me a little jealous . You guys can drop the top when ever you want. Welcome and enjoy your new yellow beauties. I know I will I need to learn how to take pics. and post them

There’s a fairly big group of us mainly from the Midlands that meet up ( Twice so far over this Winter )
They may look at a new venue further north later in the summer somewhere like the Derby Dales ?

Nice. So why is this a standard no extra cost lacquered flat colour when it's the same quality paint as, and no more difficult to apply than, the premium non-metallic bright colours? There's actually no reason for metallic to cost more but the premium flats are just silly. Coming from someone who bought a Carmine Red!

I’m guessing based on my experience buying touch-up paint, but that the non-metallic paints are single stage (well white for sure) and the metallic paints are two stage. So, in this case there would an added cost.

Yeah, possibly, I know it used to be and then there's the added sparkly bits. But all are lacquer coated as a separate stage. Main point though is the premium flat colours. it would be nice to know if they are a better quality, more pigmented, extra coated, or more difficult to apply than, say the yellow and guards red. I suspect not as no Porsche salesman has ever been able to answer my question. GT Silver used to be a premium, now downgraded to standard metallic. The plot, if not the paint, thickens.
