Hi,

Thought I'd say hello, picking up a new Boxster GTS on Sunday, looking forward to it. Not had a Boxster for a few years due to the arrival of our little one. Took a pre-spec'd Carmine Red to significantly shorten the wait time

I'm a Porsche independent mainly concentrating on the electrical side so if anyone has any questions on PIWIS etc please let me know and I'll always try to help. Got to fit and enable the multi-function/heated GTS wheel to mine over the coming weeks

Cheers

Quick photo of the car :)

First, @wizard263789: welcome to the forum, and congrats on the new car!

Now: I'm sorry, but I had to redact your image link.
Any link to a hosted photo needs to lead directly to the photo itself -- not to an ad pane on the hosting site, which is what yours led to.

To embed images on the forum:
1). Copy the URL of the photo in its full form -- no shortened URLs, please.
HINTS: Make sure to include the image suffix (.jpg, .png, etc.) in the URL. If there is no image suffix, the URL is NOT of the photo itself.
2). In the post editor, position your cursor in your post where you'd like the image to appear
3). Click on the square 'mountains and sun' icon just above the text field in the post editor
4). Paste the URL of the photo in the field that pops up, then click 'OK'

That should do it!

[Google Drive link redacted]

Hope that's ok, if not moderator please delete. No sleep will be lost :)

MODERATOR NOTE: It's not a link directly to the image, so I had to redact again.
Again: If the URL doesn't end in an image suffix such as .jpg or .png, DO NOT post the link.
Images can't contain viruses, malware, etc. Any ol' URL can.

I went ahead and downloaded the image and attached it to this post.

Gorgeous! We both really wanted the Carmine Red on our 718 Boxster, but ultimately decided the $2K savings on the Night Blue Metallic could be better spent on a full leather interior. Our Cayman S is Guards Red b/c it wasn't a custom order. So, that said, my third Porsche will be Carmine Red ;)

In the US, at least on the used market, Carmine Red is virtually unobtainable. Everything is either black, silver, or white, with a very few Night Blue metallics thrown in, and the very occasional Lava Orange or Miami Blue. I've never actually seen a Carmine Red car on the streets.
