****! I wanna cry. Cayman gts is only 3 weeks old. Hit a pothole and need a new wheel. Where's the best place to find a decent deal on a front 8J 20" carrera S4 wheel? I know the dealership ain't gonna be cheap... pic of my baby attached
I would check https://www.suncoastparts.com
This is not for the best price, this is to make sure that wheel is the same size as the one on a 911. I say this, because I believe they are a different size for our cars. If it's a rear wheel, I'm almost positive it's a different width and offset. The 911 wheels and 718 wheels are the same design, but I'm pretty sure the sizing is different (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). I learned about this when I placed 295 rear tires on my 718. 911's wear 305's and they look stretched. My 295's look full, definitely not stretched, and I think I have the widest rear wheel you can buy from Porsche for our cars. Check sizing buddy, then check pricing...

First: Who told you that you need a new wheel? It's very possible that it can be repaired. Without a pic of the damaged area, though, that's hard to assess.

If you're still in Houston, I would use the local PCA chapter as a resource: Lone Star Region PCA. That will help you find two things:
- Several of the city's active independent Porsche service centers (non-dealer)
- Possible info on reputable area wheel repair/refinishing/sourcing businesses that regularly service Porsches
This appears to be a major independent shop in Houston:
Motowerks Auto Group
And here's another:
Eurocar-Werk

Second, I'd do searches on other Porsche-related forums.
I found this place as a Houston wheel-repair recc on rennlist:
1). SABS, 9331 Ponderosa Lane, 713-772-6813

Lastly, use Yelp and other crowd-sourced review-info sites to cross-reference.

Good luck!
