I went for Graphite Blue. I’m quite colour blind, and blue is one of the strongest colours that I can see. Photos of cars in that colour look grey to me, but when I’ve seen them in the metal I can see the blue quite clearly, even on a cloudy day. I went for a manual as I prefer the involvement. No sport chrono as I’m never going to race it. Bi Xenon and PDLS lights - just because I wanted the four dot running lights! Heated seats and cruise control as I drive to Scotland quite a lot. Folding mirrors and parking sensors for small spaces. Smoking package will make a great covered cubby hole for a couple of barrier access tokens I need. Obviously I went for the passenger footwell storage net as it’s about the only thing Porsche don’t charge for!!

Smoking package also FOC but a must for me since I use that with the Porsche battery maintainer to keep a charge when I am away for extended periods of time; thereby avoiding having to go under the front trunk (bonnet) to get to the battery. Graphite Blue Metallic is a beautiful colour (color)..........what interior colour (color) scheme did you go with?

Smoking package costs £38 for us when specified new or £300 if a retrofit.

Interesting......I was looking at a GT4 without a smoking package, and I could not find a dealership that would be willing to retrofit it. No question in my mind, I would option the smoking package even if I had to pay.
If it was missing then I wouldn't have bought the 718. Same goes for the 981 Boxster I just sold. I think the centre console looks horrid without it. The flow of the interior is ruined without the nice cover.

Absolutely the way I feel. I heard on the Macan the retrofit is not that hard to accomplish but with the 718s/981s the dealerships are not enthusiastic about taking on that job.......in the case of the GT4 they blew me off or they said "we will get back to you".........but never did.

Hi Everyone. I pick my Cayman S up tomorrow. I ordered it in late February and I’m not ashamed to tell you that I’m quite excited!! I don’t want to brag to anyone in real life, so I’m telling you guys. Shhh.
I remember the night before I collected my 718 I couldn't sleep. Ended up at the dealership 2 hours before the car was ready for collection. Such an amazing day.

Have you got your car?? Post up pics.

I picked it up about 3 hours ago and have just finished my first ‘familiarisation’ drive. That included swinging past my parents house, and giving them a quick test ride. I think my Dad was more excited than I was!
The great thing about the 718 is the performance continues to improve.........with over 7K miles still not "fully" broken in. Big Day!

I had a great experience at the dealership. The spare key came in a presentation box that included a photo of me with the car! The Sales Associate took a picture when he started the handover, and they must have printed and framed it which we were going over the controls. They gave me some flowers for my wife too which was a really nice touch.

+1.
And the exhaust sounds better with mileage..

I'm at 19,000 miles and the car sounds so muvh louder and better than it was when I collected it, at 8k miles (only 6/7 months ago!!)
