Hi, I'm a current 718 Boxster owner.
I used to drive a red 981 Boxster and years before that, a Triumph Spitfire (1976 1500).

Glad to have a forum that doesn't get the hate over the changes from the 981.

My car is a daily driver, only car, in the Philadelphia area. I just got in December of last year, but take it to Home Depot, expect to take it camping, occasional dirt road, etc. Probably not the track; I'm happy with country roads when I can find them. I definitely prefer those to interstates because they are more interesting and because I feel kind of small around tractor trailers, which are also noisy.

GT Silver, black/bordeaux red interior, manual transmission

Congratulations, with the 718 you have chosen wisely.
I guess in hindsight I should have picked a better thread title.

Thanks. The runner-up choice was an Audi A4. Not as interesting or fun. While I loved my 981, it was a little high maintenance as far as stress too. You know, panic over something that looks like a scratch, a bit of anxiety with tight parking spots, only to get that relief when you leave before the cars that were next to you...

It is fun to put the top down. I'm not as aggressive with that in cold weather as I was at first, but do drop the top below 40F if it's sunny.

Also, I do the point system. If my top is down and I see another convertible being driven with the top, I get a point. Two points if it's a Miata.
