I keep a car cover in the rear boot and find it warm as if it just came out of a dryer. Is anyone adding any insulation under the factory carpet to mitigate heat transfer from the exhaust that’s fitted inches below ?

It is toasty in there. I use it to keep pizzas warm on the way home, and it works great for that.

The warmth may also be from the engine. There appear to be vents in the boot from the engine compartment.

And yes, it's great for transporting pizza.

I can’t fit anything bigger than a medium sided pizza in there! ?

You do notice a lot of heat radiating from the area around the rear drivers side wheel after any sort of journey. Not sure how you guys in warm climates manage as the cars cooling fans must be permanently on
