How much would your 718 cost if you bought it new today?

I bought my pre-owned, well-optioned 2017 718 Base Cayman last year for ~$55k (w/tax & reg), with 30k miles. I recently went into the Porsche configurator to see what I'd pay if I bought it new today. Not including PPF (which I have installed) it came out to ~$100k (w/tax & reg)! Wow! I mean, I love my car but I don't know if I would have thrown down $100k to buy it new.

What about you? Have you priced your 718 to see what it would cost you today?

In France a 718 cayman s it is 112000 dollars without any option. Mine has 30000 dollars of option . An amazing price of 142000 dollar.

thanks to the pollution tax. It would be worse with a gts 4.0
That’s why I bought one 2017 for just under half the price.
Here in Arizona with tax and license fees my CS would be about $110k I bough mine 2 years ago with 9k and CPO out the door with full front and rockers with PPF for $73k.

Ignore the Austrian flag, just visiting, lol.
Mine would have a MSRP of $99,640K now. Its 2017 MSRP was $88,735. I paid $67,000 for it in 2019 with 8K miles.
Calculating this makes my eyes water!
Mine in USD would be just under $160,000* today. I paid $100,000 with 8K miles.
*Import tax here adds 60% to “real world” prices.
Feb 2021 GTS 4.0 bought used CPO with 3k miles in July 2021 - $105k - configuration today is $114k... Glad to have her!
Funny to see this I actually looked earlier today and my car “2018 gts” with the dynamic lights and everything else it was optioned out with… I see them going for $75 to $82k rn.

The funny thing is I bought my car brand new a couple months into 2019 as a demo with 233 miles for $76k. So I think I’m doing pretty good!! 💃🏽

The sticker price was $97k. She don’t have the radio controls on steering wheel, I got manual seats and a few other base things which I actually wanted her that way.

My 2022 GTS 4.0 was about USD $102,200. Today, using a mid-price exterior paint, the car would be $110,300. If I were to select Ice Gray Metallic, instead of GT, as it would more closely resemble Dolomite and go better with the blue top, the price inflates to $112,230. That's 7.9%/9.8% more.
Hi, my CS, due next month will be £75695 plus £2015 OTR Costs. Just missed the £5k price increase for a well specced car.

I purchased a CPO 2017 CS in November, 2022. Price paid for car was $59,500. Only stating price paid, no tax or any other fees as they very from state to state.
MSRP was $96,385. To buy a new 2024 Model with the same equipment would cost $109,100.

2017 CS with $96K sticker? That must be a heck of an option list.
Hard to say as several desirable options such as PDLS+ and Extended Deviated Stitching are not available.

This 2017 CS is only missing Burmeister, multi steering wheel and blind spot detection.
$29k in options. Original owner ordered a very nice car.
According to the configurator my build code now comes in at £88670 (with dealer fit options).

Up £6k from when I first got the car.

I would enjoy seeing that options list :)
Over $10k USD more to build my exact 2022 MY base Cayman spec.
My '21 CGTS had an even $100,000 MSRP. Configuring a new one with the same options, as close as possible, is $109,900.

I have a '24 on order with a list price of $117,390 as I added a few more options. This one has reached the freeze point and is scheduled to be built in July.
My 2017 BXS had a sticker of almost $92k.
The base price of the S in 2017 was $69k. Now it’s $82.4k. So, on base price alone, I am driving a $105k BXS. I’ll update with options when I get to my computer. I paid $62k in December 2020 with <12k miles on the odometer.
2018 982 Cayman List Price Before 8% Discount: $80,190
2023 982 Cayman Configurator Price: $90,910 (specced the same with exceptions noted below)
  • Substitute Boxter S wheels (Cayman S wheels not available)
  • 16.9 gallon fuel tank not available with 6-speed manual transmission (+$140 on 2018 build)
  • PDLS+ not available (+$1,180 on 2018 build)
Difference of $10,720 excluding the two options not available in 2023 (+$1320).
$110k to $118k for the CGTS. Options are pretty much the same price, the base car is just $8k more expensive. Noticed they separated the LEDs and Bose audio from the premium package even though if you add them back in it's the same cost basically.
