Didn’t see a thread on Ice Grey before I ordered the color. Absolutely enamored with it now and wanted to share in case others are considering. In person it’s great on this car.

Yes. My buddy ordered VG and now wishes he ordered ice grey. It’s that good. When I took delivery I wasn’t sure, but after living with it and seeing it in different lights, it feels really special.
I am currently waiting for a Cayman GTS 4.0 in this color. Must be seen in person - pictures do not do it justice.
As my wife and me were walking into the dealership to place our order we walked past an ice grey metallic Cayman on the lot. We both stopped in our tracks and just stared. Had never seen the color before. Told my wife it was a $2600 up-charge. She said “I don’t care!”. Good-by GT Silver.
Very underrated color because the configurator does not do it justice. I go to car meet ups regularly so I've seen it many times and it's fantastic when the light hits it.
Totally agree. The color is special and relatively rare because as you said most people don’t see the allure on the configurator… really pops on the smaller profile of the 718.
This photo is the most spectacular one of Ice Gray Metallic that I have seen. The shadows and reflections, especially on back half of passenger side, give the illusion of an ice cube
I have a Cayman Style Edition on order (V250) in IGM. I work at a dealership, so I see this color often. It really wasn't on my radar until I saw a 911 Turbo S Cab outfitted in IGM with a Blue Top. Show stopper! It's a little underwhelming on the bigger sedans (Panamera's & Taycans) IMO, but man does it look great on the sports cars!
100%. It may make sense to coordinate wheels and interior. I went black accents black interior and black wheels, so I thought it made sense to go black top. That’s said, any color may work well with those choices. I could see a blue top, blue interior… or black/red interior with red top. Not sure what wheels I’d go with in those scenarios.
I fell in love with ICM the second I saw it in person. To me, unless I am mistaken, it is a Porsche only color. I have not seen it crossed over to VW. A Box was being pulled out of the dealership for its new owner and the color is just WOW!! Sort of White w/ subtle silver flake.
I believe it's most similar to Audi Suzuka Grey Metallic, also rare. That's my best guess. Sadly, seen IGM once on a Taycan and it does look awesome. Hard to make paint pop with less metallic flake nowadays, but this color seems to defy that.
It's lovely in real life when you see it. The cameras in most smart phones are "too smart" and they make it look almost pure white but it's a lovely silver light blue!
Picked these up from the paint shop IGM, color match is perfect.
They need to cure for 30 days, then wrap them in PPF and install.
OEM GT4 scoops, filled and painted.
Loving all these IGM pics. It seems like the pattern in this thread in choosing IGM is seeing it in person. Most colors are obvious, but this one is different. Ironically the pic that pushed me to order it, as I couldn’t find a boxster in person with the color but was impressed with it on the Macan EV. This one
I wasn’t sure about IG either but because I rely liked the earlier Carrera White Metallic I decided to go with IG. I wasn’t sure surprised to see sort of blue color in shade along with a grey tint but I’m very pleased with the look in fill sun. I’ve attached pictures of the car in our RV garage last month (RV was in service).
