If I had the space and the budget...

What other interesting cars would I like to have just for the fun of it? I know! I know!

First would probably be a Ferrari 328 GTS, or maybe a GTB, probably red though we've seen a lovely yellow one bombing around here, and pics of a metallic blue. Or if not a 328 then a 308. Why be choosy?

Another car which fascinates me is the DeTomaso Mangusta. Such an intriguing shape, intriguing style. And a Ford engine. I saw one once in a showroom near DC back around 1970. It was red, small and menacing. Cobras beware.

While we're doing this, how about a Lamborghini Muira P400? That'll never happen even more than the 328 or Mangusta will happen.

Then maybe a Jaguar E, roadster version with the straight-6 and the headlight fairings.

Okay, I ran out of money and garage space a few cars ago. I'll stop now.

The next car for us will be a 458 Speciale (selling or trading our Italia). Just haven't found the one yet. That's my dream car to round out the ICE era.

Other cars in our "dream garage" (which is on a whiteboard in my son's room) right now:

Dino
812
W124 E500/500E
Elise
GT4RS
new GT3RS (assuming that is announced soon)
997.2S Coupe
964 C2 (coupe)

He'll be home this week so we will probably tweak the whiteboard garage a bit :D I dont' know how many of those will become real for us over the next years. Some are getting quite expensive now.

Same as you Jim 328 GTS or go for the full Magnum and a red 308. They were almost affordable 10yrs ago, not anymore (not for me).

My list:
Ferrari GTO
Dino Ferrari
Maserati Bora
Lamborghini Miura, of course!
More back to reality, MGB GT

I'm out of garage space before all these so I guess I'll need to wait also.😀

Oh yeah, I meant to add the Bora! Heck, I'd settle for a Merak.

I just thought of something else . . . . a Morgan 3-wheeler.

Even with the budget I’d never have the space, my wife would find something to take that up!

Wouldn’t want to lose the Cayman however I probably would like to add:

AC cobra
Dodge Viper
Ferrari 288 GTO
2
I would love to just spend a year building either SLC Superlite or an Ultima RS. I can’t think of anything more cathartic than building my own track day special.

Was in Florence with daughter's high school chorus while there was a Miura gathering just outside the church they were singing in. A dozen specimens in every color imaginable.

Too many to consider, but there'd have to be a 917 in my shortlist :)
A Lotus Super 7 or a Chaterham 7
If we're going that direction, a Morgan +4.
The thing I like about the Cayman is that we can drive it almost anywhere and not worry about it breaking!
I've got my dibs on one of these (the real Yellowbird in the background). Will break 7 figures, but have a couple of friends to go in with me.....

930 Turbo for me.
I already have a 718 turbo. And it's faster than all those 70's and 80's whiz cars listed above. Hard to believe, izzn't?

I would be going in the opposite direction from most of you.

Early 70's Eldo conv. Had a chance to buy one off a friend in the early 80's and didn't, regretted it.

It looked like this. 500ci and rode like a dream.

That would actually not fit in my garage! Beautiful choice, though. I would love to own that.
