Yes! Fun! First off, I noticed how smooth you were with everything. Another thing, on that tight turn after the long straight, it looked like you had to brake off nearly 100 mph, from 140 mph or a little higher to like 45 or 50 mph? Couldn't tell because your arm blocked the speedo in the turn. Was that about right? And was there a moment when you had to flick off a bit of a slide to the right? Anyway, enjoyed it indeed!

yes that is correct. the course we ran only used 1 straight from the 500/brickyard course, going the wrong way ironically, and at max i was around 147 but typically in the 140s by the braking zone. there was a 90 degree right hand turn at the end of that so some hard braking was used every time. the same thing happened in 12 only we did not have as much time to build up speed as we did for 1.

i always try to keep things as smooth as possible. the smoother you are the faster you will be and the less worn out you will feel at the end. learning the nuances of a track and where to position for each corner is very important and can really save you time and effort. for example corners 4, 5 and into 5a were all essentially one long swooping piece. you can watch the steering wheel to see how little input i did throughout that sections of the track.

by saturday afternoon i was drifting quite a bit. that video was the last session i had before my tires were essentially done and i had to scale back quite a bit on the power. at one point i inadvertently impressed the guy behind me when i drifted the entire 5a corner, only he thought i was trying to do it when in reality i was trying to keep it on the track :)
