I must be an idiot since I’m unable to “save” the deactivated auto stop/start and sport exhaust in my 2019 Cayman GTS. I can set them through the steering wheel controls, and sometimes they’ll return, but usually not.

I’ve tried setting my preferences with the ring in both the normal mode and in the individual mode but they never do “save” when I start the car the next day.

This has been almost as frustrating as programming my garage door opener, but I did master that!

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

The ASS will always default to on and the the sport exhaust off. This is the only way to defeat it. Memory Module This mod made the whole experience much better. No need to have a checklist of things to switch on and off. It takes about 20 minutes to install. I also have sport chrono. The module will not remember the sport mode setting with cars equipped with the wheel switch.

Thanks for the reply. Glad that I’m not an idiot, at least on this issue.

I’ll probably hold off on the Memory Module and try to tolerate the agony of pushing those two buttons after buckling in my seat.

Thanks again.

If you've stored them in individual mode surely all you have to do is turn the dial on the steering wheel to "I" once you've started the car?

On my base Cayman with SC, my settings are always where I made them originally. In other words, saved until I change them, which I've done only once, about three months in.

That sounds abnormal from my experience.
If you leave the car in sport or sport+, your saying that yours will start up in the same mode next time?

This is my #1 pet peeve
I never drive in Normal mode, and wish it would stay in my last setting.
I would definitely go with the memory module, IF it worked with the SC wheel settings

No, I was addressing the Individual setting. I set it once and it stays the same. It is saved. I do have to set the little wheel to S, S+, or I. But my individual settings are saved. Actually, it has become somewhat automatic (outside my condo garage) to start the car and switch to the Sport setting immediately. However, I do set it back to O when I pull into my condo parking lot before going into the garage.
