Hello, hope everyone is staying safe during all this craziness. I bought my 2018 718 with 4200 miles on it. They did an oil change when I took delivery of the car, and now at 8500 miles, I keep getting an "inspection now" message at start up. Quick Google search is coming up with nothing, and the intervals for maintenance don't seem to fit with the current mileage of the car. Any ideas?

how long have you had it? maintanence I think is an annual deal or mileage - whichever comes first. But it's also possible they forgot to reset the timers when they did the oil change. They forgot to reset mine.

7 months, and the past 4 it's been in the garage. I was thinking maybe they forgot to reset it, but I thought it would say something like service now instead of inspection now.

I actually got 'inspection now' on my 718 at just over 20000kms. Thing is, it had been sitting for 5 months over the Canadian Winter and came on as soon as I had brought it back out. Never saw it before i put it away. I had assumed maybe a time period had passed which triggered the 'Inspection Now' message. I haven't done anything about it yet, as lockdown is not quite over to get to the nearest Porsche dealer, over 100kms away. Doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the car. Oil was changed at 15000kms

I bought a a CPO ‘17 cayman in October of 2019 with 15000 miles on it. I put about 1500 miles on it and garaged it early December. I put it back on the road around May 1 and the inspection now message came on. The dealership I’m bringing it where I live said it required the intermediate service done. $1000. Real flush and oil service. Those things were done when it was certified 7 months prior. I said maybe the system wasn’t reset when it was certified. Ah was the response. 1500 miles and 7 months (5 of which were garaged) and it needed this service? WTF.
