I stopped @ Barber Motor Sports Park in 2014 and observed a class there before my first Macan S was delivered & the hook was set. Almost met a fella from the Macan forums in 2016 there but no joy so that itch still hasn't been scratched.

Now that I replaced the Macans w/ a CGTS that *want* is back & before I track my car in DFW w/ some fellow Maverick peeps, I want to learn the nuances of this car using the vehicles @ Barber coupled w/ the excellent guidance/mentoring of their instructors.

Anyone have an interest in taking either the 1 or 2 day high performance driving classes BEFORE it heats up later this year in Alabama? Hoping some here have an interest & in 2014 I did spend sev. hours walking the world class museum @ Barber & I'm looking forward to doing that again.

i'll be there 11/2-3 and i believe it is the local audi group that is running a DE there. they are the same ones who put on the 3 days at daytona every decemeber (which btw will be even better this year - we are going to have one night session under the lights and a 90 minute enduro this year).

i'll try to get more details.

To clarify which class are you taking & is it an open or closed class/group?

Also bumping this to see if there might be others here interested in a Barber class this year.

well, it's a little strange. i have a friend who runs the weekend we do at daytona each year and as part of that weekend he invites a couple other organizations to join us. they in turn allow a few people he selects to join in their events. that is what is happening with barber.

the even is being hosted by ReZoom and it looks like anyone can join but they do say the limit the number of entries for each event. here is a link for the event i will be doing:

and if you or anyone else is interested in dayton this december let me know.

Would love to visit Barber and see that museum. All my racer-buds say it's the bee's knees. It's on my bucket list.

I'm instructing for our vintage group at Summit Point in mid-May. The season is starting soon!

I was there about a year and a half ago:

The museum is jaw-dropping, both in terms of its collection and its architecture. I enjoyed it far more than the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky. that I visited during a trip the previous year.

Caught the tail end of a Porsche Driving School session upon my arrival, too. It was awesome to watch -- particularly when the Cayman Ss came around the section of track that runs by the museum. Jealous of you guys planning on doing it!

LOL! Well, maybe ... planning on a drive around either Hawaii or Iceland then (not in the 718, plainly). Gotta pick my spots ... but we'll see ... :)
