Hi my 718 is about to get delivered and I did not get the light design package. I read in a couple of places that the interior lights are easily upgradeable. Has anyone tried doing it? Or any help on the correct LED lights I should purchase would be great! Would really appreciate any help :)

My guess is that it isn't a simple upgrade. Just take the sun visors. They don't have lights in them unless you had the light design package. So they would need to be replaced, and be wired. Just that job would require disassembling many parts of the car to get the wiring done. Then who knows what other problems that would create.

I don't have the light design package on my car, but wish I did have it. But for me it isn't worth the hassle of a retrofit.

Mine is the standard setup too. But I tend to like things simple so this was not an issue with me.

By the way, these cars come standard with "orientation lighting" and "ambient lighting". You may want to have a look at the manual to understand the difference between these features.

I have the interior lighting package as it came with the Premium Package Plus. I find the light in the sun visor to be too diffuse so that it is blinding trying to look in the mirror with the light on. And I have looked in the manual for these two settings and still don't entirely understand the "orientation" setting as nothing seems to change.
