Proud owner of a brand new GTS 4.0 (just landed from Stuttgart) in Chalk. I'm a creative professional living in the PNW, and excited to share first turns and to get to know the community.

Congratulations, welcome and kudos for posting pictures without any prompting! (y)

Feel free to discuss further details on your car / specifications. I'm accused of being a promoter of manual transmissions and LWBS, along with the GTS interior and clear sidelights. But I'm mellowing in my old age and have a friend or two with a PDK.😃

Cheers!

Porsche appears to pick whatever they have the most of in their parts bins. I got Pirelli's on my 2005 911S and 2014 Cayman S, Michelins on my 2022 GTS. This is known as the "tire lottery". I think I won on my 2022 GTS with Michelins, as that's what I've switched to for my previous cars at the recommendation of my indy tire shop and PCA members. Same performance, longer tread life and less noise as they wear. But others here prefer the Pirellis.

I highly recommend getting PPF on the entire front end and since you have the Sport Design bumpers in Gloss Black, those as well

any residual "sand" (I used to live in Portland) that's on the roads will chip your paint badly, especially on a low-slung car

I also recommend the rocker panels and the area all the way up to the split line where the side vents are

(this is often referred to a "track pack" PPF installation - here's an illustration w/ highlights (also would have the mirror caps and area behind rear wheel
