I have had many cars like from Audi S5 to Corvettes, to 911's and just bought the Wife a Cayenne and myself a Macan S about 6 months ago. Anyways, I was up at the Porsche Dealer here in Jacksonville to get my wife a cup holder and they had a great looking Cayman 718 in the GT3 Lava Orange with blacked out wheels, exhaust and Logos. It looked great.
I just had to have it. It drives way better then I anticipated, but like all Porsche products, the harder you drive them the better they feel AND sound.
Anyways, I look forward to driving my little 718 to some Porsche events and having a little fun with it.
If you have any questions on cars to buy or stay away from, I am your guy. $120k and less, or any Porsche specialty car.
Look forward to joining the 718 forum.

well, I have purchased 4 new Porsches this year from this dealer, and several more in the past 7 years...They gave me a fair deal.
The car looks like a special Porsche but its just because of the $3000 Lave Orange paint from the GT3, the Black Carrera S wheels and the black upgraded sports exhaust and black 718 logos.
What model do you have or are you looking at?
I'm seriously considering a base 718 Cayman lightly optioned. Currently in a BMW 2 series. My lease ends in Jan 18, so I'm planning. Coming from BMW where the forums are all lit up with everybody's deals, it seems much tougher to find out what Porsche drivers' deals are. Since this is a new model I'm curious what people are paying i.e. MSRP, +/-%. I know lease rates right now are terrible. I'd expect that for a new model. Just trying to get some idea for my research. I'm fortunate enough to be having the discussion of getting a 718, but not yet so fortunate that I can't be unconcerned with the cost. For myself, I have a number per month I'm willing to do. If I can get the car there great. If not, I'll do something else as I keep working towards it.

I've been on other forums where there's threads on people taking delivery. The owner base is growing, but no one seems to be sharing what kind of deals they're getting. I don't know if that's a difference between Porsche drivers vs. BMW drivers. As I stated, just trying to gather numbers since I'm a bubble customer. I have about 6-7 months before I have to get really serious about a decision with regards to ordering, allocation, build, delivery times, etc. That's a lot of time to find information.

Cayman 718, how much did you end up paying for your 718?

I think you can start shopping around dealerships near you for the best price. Maybe they'll be more open to negotiations once your lease is almost up and the 718 has been out for a while.

That's what I'm hoping for Charlotte. Right now I'm trying to build a relationship with dealers for when I'm ready. I told the sales guy at the dealership where I took the test drive a few weeks ago that I would be hoping for around 3-5% off MSRP. I need residuals to come up to feasibly get there. The 718 is at the top of my list, but the deal has to be right.
