Hope you had windows tints too, I think it's modelled on an F15 by the looks of it.
I'd like to say I'll see you around but I don't think I will in that guise, enjoy the drives, they are amazingingly satisfying.

Ok so a first weekend quick review. Overall i'm blown away by the car, extremely pleased I went with the spec I did and most importantly that I picked a CGTS over other manufacturers. So I thought for ease of navigation i'll list main focus areas and my experience so far - hope this works.

Looks: Agate grey, with black handles, spoiler and sport design pack. (Standard alloys)
I love the combination. Grey works very well with black, changes in every light, hides the dirt and will look suitably stealth I hope for it's second home (station car park!). On my original spec I didn't have the black additions, i'm pleased this does. They are subtle and make the black details pop. Love the alloys.

Gearing: Manual
Just beautiful, most of my other cars have 1st for just moving. It has no bite and 2nd comes immediately. 1st in this gives you time to enjoy it whilst being soft enough at low revs for easy low speed manoeuvres. When 1st revs out a little it hits 2nd right when the torque starts to pull so you feel a real shove that never seems to relent. 2nd again is happy at lower speeds and is great to drop down in to for extra grunt in (and out of a corner) and gives enough that you are going a bit too fast by the time 3rd arrives. Both third and fourth are enjoyably long with never ending pull.

The gearbox is very short, mechanical and tactile, clutch isn't too stiff.

And yes, my god does it feel fast. For me going fast is secondary to feeling the speed and enjoying the interaction. There may be bigger fast cars out there but you feel like you are in a rocket in this.

Handling:
Unbelievable. I had an M4 which had more power but was heavier. It couldn't put the power down and I never truly felt safe on British back roads. The size, weight distribution, subtle but powerful driver aids and sheer grip make this so planted. It can take time to understand a cars quirks and build confidence, whilst I will learn so much more about this car I felt comfortable with it very quick. Speaking of which it is VERY comfortable considering UK roads and i'm sitting on 20's a few inches from the floor.

Sound:
Each car has a unique sound. My M4 was great but a bit synthesised in the cabin, before that the A45 was loud, but flat and my mini JCW fun, but preferred it in standard mode. This car sounds incredible. Hungry, powerful and as my neighbour put it... a bit tasty. It's very loud in the cabin (leaning on the motor) with sport on. Start up sounds like a 6 then settles down to more of a 4. When it takes off, it sounds like nothing I have heard before, just building and building, endless wall of sound. Comparing to a Subaru or Beetle is laughable (IMHO) it's just a very unique and compelling sound and i've had 3 powerful 4's previously... this to me doesn't sound anything like them. It's addictive.
I test drove an M2 2 months ago. Sounded great - this knocks spots off it in person.

Interior: GTS pack (red), heated seats, multi function and Bose
Interior is stunning, this was a must have for me, it may wear in time, we will see. Multi function - love it, very intuitive. Bose sounds great, but the cabin noise drowns it out sometimes, this is more cabin insulation than speakers as it is excellent when static. Seats (it's warm for a change here, so not yet tested)

Other: Lights, storage
Not yet seen the lights in full glory but impressed with the storage, my wife climbed in the frunk!

All I have to offer folks after a weekend of fun with my little beauty. Very pleased to join the club!

Great first review! I can relate in every way, exhaust note will even improve in time..After second gear I have to watch speed because I'm already breaking the limit. Love the manual also. Send interior pics when you get chance. Enjoy your new Porsche!!

Congrats and thanks for the review!

And yes, there is a bit more cabin noise than I was expecting, but it's not as bad on smoother roads. I thinks it's mostly tire noise.

These engines sound glorious to me.

Thanks all! @ZuffenHouseRules where I picked mine up in Silverstone they are obsessed with manuals so they had two CGTS's, a BGTS and a 9llT all with manual. Quite refreshing as I know they are a minority.

@everyone else, I'll add some more pics and internal shots later this week

One thing I didn't add in the review was build quality, just taken aback to the quality of the build. You know it's a Porsche... Big step ahead from my M and AMG cars

@ZuffenHouseRules , I took this photo while at the PEC in Atlanta last week. It’s a light fixture on the ceiling in the cafe. I noticed that just about all the demo cars on display out front and inside were manuals. And congratulations @UKGTS, nice review.
Guaji, please write up a review about the Porsche Atlanta PEC. We pick up our CGTS on June 07th so any information would be helpful.

I flew up to Atlanta on a Tuesday afternoon, since I had a 9:00 experience the following day. I stayed at the Solis hotel which is very nice and located next to the PEC, so around 8 am I walked over to the center. I checked in and signed some papers and they gave me a pager to let me know when to return to the desk and meet my instructor. I requested Philip Adler (who I chated with on Facebook) for a Master the Manual sesssion. As I was waiting for the instructor, I walked around the first floor checking out some cars....it’s a very nice facility. I felt like I was in Germany....clean and modern. When my pager went off, I went back to the check in desk to meet the instructor. We immediately went down to where the cars are by the track...I had a black 718 Cayman S with red interior. We talked briefly about what I was looking to get out of the experience. I told him that I wanted to learn more about what the car is capable of and it’s driving dynamics in a safe environment.

I got set up in the car, then we first headed out to the track. I watched some YouTube videos, so I knew it was a narrow circuit with nice mix of curves and two short straights....I was mostly in 2nd or 3rd gears. After several laps we went to an area to do some max braking drills and then in the same area is the slalom course. We did that several times with traction control on and off. We then went back to the track for a few more laps in sport+ mode. We took a 5 min break to have some water....they have bottles in an ice chest by the staging area.

Went back to the track for another lap then to the kick pad.....that was fun. Did that like 4 times with different traction control settings....you have to be even more aggressive then you may think to keep the car headed to where you want to go. After that....time was becoming limited....the instructor asked me if I wanted to go to the circular skid pad.....like drfting....I said no, that I would rather go straight to the low friction handling circuit. That was alot of fun too....different traction control settings and as you enter each turn, you hit the throttle to get the back end out then counter steer thru the turn and then set up for the next turn and repeat....the instructor jump in the drivers seat to show me once also. You can really smell the tires after doing that. Afer that we went back on the track for a few more laps and finished.

It went by too quickly....I felt that I was justing getting a hang it all...especially the kick plate and low friction circuit, before we had to move on. I would definitely consider going back. The Heritage gallery downstairs is very nice...basically a museum and next to that is a restoration workshop.

I didn’t see the restaurant but the cafe is nice and when I was finished, I spent sometime on the balcony overlooking the circuit after the Heritage Gallery.

Two questions...

(1) How much did the Atlanta PEC thing that you did cost?
(2) Can you also just go there and look around and watch?

Thanks!
It was $400 plus $50 for the insurance waiver. I believe, but not certain, that anyone can visit. There is the restaurant there...I think it’s called 356, so anyone can make a reservation and go. The center sits within the airport perimeter, so one is subject to security verification at the entrance gate. I am not sure if they also check whether you have a reservation.

Atlanta PEC is fantastic!! I did it a couple of weeks ago. Definitely makes you understand the car much better.

Don’t take a GoPro like camera, can’t use it. Museum is cool but they didn’t have a 918 which I was as looking for.

Here are some pictures.
