I’ve had many years experience with having to deal with curbed alloys (my wife is a curb magnet) if you choose not to have the damage fixed / wheel refurbished then you must apply clear coat to the damaged are, failure to do so will cause more damage as the aluminium that is exposed to the rain and atmosphere will corrode causing the lacquer around the surrounding area to yellow and peel this is also accelerated in a marine environment.
wheel refurbishment companies charges typically £75 - £150 per wheel depending on depth of damage.
