The problem with this is when you lower your car you're going to eat up all of your compression travel. The beauty of a coilover like the Ohlins R&T is the height is independent of the rate and travel.

Did anyone ever end up trying the KW HAS or Ohlins?

I get the reduced damper compression with the HAS kit but I like the idea of retaining the factory PASM and I'd probably only want to go 10-15 mm lower so should still have plenty of compression in it.

The mountain roads I drive can also get pretty rough so it is handy to be able to switch the PASM on the fly. I think if I was tracking Ohlins would definitely be the go.

I've been reading up a bit more on the KW HAS kits and it seems the Part #: 25371048 that is used for the 718 is the same part number for the 981 Cayman:

I even found Eibach was using the same part number for 981 and 982/718 suggesting the kits are interchangeable.

Now I'm thinking there is very little difference in weight distribution between the 981 and 982/718 but I have read that the 718 has slightly firmer spring rates.

My thinking would suggest that the KW HAS kit will be firmer than standard 981 and 718 springs but similar to the slightly shorter 718 S/GTS springs that come with PASM sport.

If anyone has any info on this or expertise on this please let us know.
