Those are beautiful pictures, Goldtrom. I would use the third one as my wallpaper, except that I ordered a Cayman, and it is graphite blue. :)

Sorry but I find this to be a ridiculously pointless exercise that's also made finding many current threads that were actually worth viewing far more difficult to find. I've only made the comment here because I own a Lava orange Boxster S so obviously I like the colour/color but we already had threads where people could show pictures of their cars. Surely viewing the diversity of taste & specification was preferable to picture after picture of almost identical cars on each colour/color thread. I really do fail to see any point, but then I guess admin just had a little bit too much time on their hands.

Or just search Google Images on color as I reckon many of us did when deciding on configurations....

But here's the thing, Chilli -- this forum is just one of hundreds of marque-specific forums run by AutoGuide.com -- as a marketing tool for their own online media presence I'm sure. So I doubt if our mysterious '718Admin' even owns a 982...quite possibly has never even driven one!

An early tip-off for me were certain reviews enthusiastically posted by 718Admin with the 'soul-less' haters bottom-line. I couldn't but wonder "did he/she actually read this through before posting?" -- it felt more as though an automated bot was searching on term '718' and feeding whatever it found.

Also strange that our Admin has never once stepped in to cool things off when a thread exchange got a little over-heated and personal (although credit to this crowd, I only recall that happening once). On the other hand, they did seem to respond to our complaints about the time-restricted Edit function, so maybe they are listening (or the change was rolled-out uniformly across all the AutoGuide forum settings....).

Oh well. I suppose the heart of a forum is the community of posting members, not the Admin. But lesson to be learned here, we all ought to take more ownership of forum content and civility with tolerance amongst posters of opposing views.

And dear 718Admin: if you are not a bot or an employee of AutoGuide juggling dozens of marque-specific forums, tell us something about yourself and your love of 718s. Are you a Boxster or a Cayman person? A 2.0 or 2.5? Manual or PDK?

Yes, it's just a gripe but there were some interesting & active threads by members which have now been pushed to the background & disappeared from the recent discussions list. I know the most popular discussions are still there but some newer ones were rather unfortunately a little nipped in the bud. These specific colour/color threads themselves will hopefully fall away very quickly as the more helpful & informative threads rise to the top. Don't get me wrong I've nothing against looking at pictures of 718's (very nice by the way Goldtrom) & that's any of them in any colour/color, it's just better if they're reasonably all together to avoid cluttering up the recent discussions. Anyway this will be my last comment on this thread or any other regarding separate colours/colors as I'm now only serving to help perpetuate this nonsense. :(

Wow. That really is a sunshine car. You couldn’t get away with driving that here in the UK.
