I have owned my 2019 Cayman for a few weeks now (324 miles). This warning showed past couple of weeks. It has mostly been showing not available on first start up; however, while in the middle of driving today the service showed up.

"Lane change assist not available
Service required"

Kind of very disappointing there's already a service that is required after 300 miles (first time owning a Porsche too)... I attempted to schedule a service online and the next available service is 1 month away. Going to try to call tomorrow to get a service in much earlier...

Went this morning to have it checked. Turns out it's not just the LCA that has problems. Something is wrong in the computer system in general, the lights kept doing some light show (flickering on / off constantly). I will hear back in a few days once they investigate more. I have a Porsche Macan as the loaner car.

More updates:

It seems like there was a faulty front control unit. This causes the LCA as well as headlights to not work properly. That probably explains why sometimes I randomly saw my headlights switch from high beam to low beam (on reflections from the front car).

They will be replacing it (under warranty of course) & ETA is Thursday (maybe later, depending on when the part comes in).

Another update, the vehicle won't be done until mid next week. Every day I call, it's being delayed further out. I find it pretty upsetting after 400 miles, I have to put it in the shop and apparently this is a large repair. Now I'm out from the vehicle for 1.5 weeks (and maybe it'll be delayed again when I ask next week).

if i were you i would make the dealer give me a cayman off the lot as a loaner until your repairs are complete, especially with less than 500 miles on yours.

Interesting... glad you're getting it worked out, though it will take a while. My '17 Cayman S had a bad front electronics module as well. Symptoms were different though: Error message to check both front turn signals, signals sometimes ok, sometimes blink 2x rate, and 5 fast blinks instead of 3 in that mode. Occasional error upon trying to start, that the key can't be found, usually ok on second attempt but once msg said to remove starter knob and insert key instead, and that did not work. So I too had a Macan loaner, did not like it much, did not feel Porsche-like, more like my Nissan pickup! (sorry, Macan fans...) Anyway, they fixed the problem but it took three 200 mile round-trips to the dealer and back on successive days as at first they did not stock the part, then their service dept computer failed to connect with the central Porsche computer. I had the feeling this particular failure was new to them.
