Lightweight battery

So, while the car weights less than 3000lbs, why not shave off some more weight?? I have yet to pull and weight the OE battery, but I'm my previous car, Golf R, I installed the Braille GU1R lithium batter. It weights 6.4 Lbs. I ran it without issue through a long New England winter and the car always started flawlessly. The only concern may be the start/ stop function, but the lithium battery can handle the load better than a Lead Acid that is installed.
