I have done this mod on several cars now and love it.
I would rather run plateless all the time but that's just not feasible.

I generally leave it on most of the time but like to have quick removal at the track for C&C events etc.

I made a magnetic mount using the OE bracket.
I trimmed the bracket so that it doesn't touch anywhere except for the magnets.
Rare earth magnets are installed on both sides of the bracket as well as on the inside of the bumper.

I also have PPF on the car.

Oh man, I was looking for something like this. I’ve wanted some kind of quick-removal solution for the rear-plate so I can put a tow-hook in the back for track days without having to deploy an army of tools to do it.

Thanks for posting this. Where did you get yours?

How easy/difficult is it to get behind the bumper - Or are you taking the bumper off to attach the magnets?
Any recommendation on adhesive?
You need to remove the bumper skin (see DIY section)
I used bumper repair epoxy.
It's readily available in most auto parts outlets.
