Hey Guys - I'm from Toronto but Live in Dubai - I have a manual 718 Cayman S in Dubai (My first rear wheel car). Had a Manual 2010 Passat CC for 7 years that I truly loved, had to let go for the good of RWD horsepower...Truly, truly loved it - hope it's happy in its new home.

Very much enjoying my black on black 718, although getting track time here is not easy. The car is on Carrera S 20s with Sports Chrono, Nav and most other non-leather options (man leather is expensive...) - and most importantly its likely to be the only manual 718 in Dubai (if i'm wrong, i'd love to meet the owner of the other manual 718 and propose to her).

Will just throw it out there that a Fast'N loud or Wheeler Dealer show focusing on Porsches would be an amazing idea...Aaron Kaufman and Edd China coming together for automotive greatness.

Congrats on your manual. It was an easy decision for me to order manual on my 718 Cayman S. My prior manual is a 2002 BMW330i (which I still own) so going to an automatic (despite the PDK greatness and speed) would kill the enjoyment for me. Besides I think visually, seeing a 6 sp stick in the center console is somehow more viscerally exciting than an automatic-- but thats me :)

Oh, I think I remember seeing a set of Wheeler Dealers working on Porsches a few months back-- I could be wrong maybe another show.

We just need someone to find a (practical) reason for manuals on electric cars - or for the hydrogen internal combustion engine to keep the ICE alive!

and yeah you're right - in fact the 993 Wheeler dealers episode was on History or Discovery yesterday...That Edd China is a genius
