That was the interior/exterior combo I initially specced on my 718 but changed after seeing it in person. In my opinion, that combo doesn't work well together. Last minute I changed to leather interior Black/Chalk and I am very happy I did.

That interior works best with the Graphite Blue Metallic paint.

Thanks for the input. Good that you saw it in person. I agree it is a strange combo. Would look really good with Chalk exterior also I'm sure. With Miami Blue I like it one minute but then again not so much the next. But I want the sport-tex seats. So I'll probably do the second option with the black interior and dark silver stitching. Plus painted trim of course. :)

Does this combo look good or am I losing my vision? Too much? Anyone seen it in person? Thoughts are welcome.

I have a 2018 base Boxster in Miami Blue with the Graphite Blue/Chalk Sport-Tex interior on order (white dials, white sport chrono dial, aluminum pedals, carbon fiber steering wheel, carbon fiber trim, Miami Blue seat belts). Although I have only seen it on the configurator, I thinks it's going to look fantastic. Hopefully I can tell you for sure in a few weeks when mine is delivered. Before ordering mine I saw a Cayman with this exterior/interior combo and I thought it looked great. I considered the black/chalk Sport-Tex but the chalk part is where you sit and that will get dirty very easily.

Congrats! Looking forward to the pictures. For some reason I feel the color combo works better with the Boxster then the Cayman. Did you leave the roof black?

I originally spec'ed like that. Got a lot of pushback on this forum. I found I'm not a fan of graphite blue - not on the dash, and not the steering wheel with the black air bag pod. I didn't necessarily think that the blues clashed, per se, or didn't go together - I just didn't think that I liked graphite blue. So I went with Black/Chalk full leather.

Now - what I think would kick ass, seems to be what Swdea is talking about, but I don't believe was an available option for US cars: take my Black/Chalk full leather, and put the dark Sport Tex inserts in from the other US option. They call it dark silver, or something like that, but it's basically black. Then you break up the expanse of Chalk in the seats - and mine are Sport Seats Plus, so there's even more of it - and you've got a nice, neutral, high-tech, contrastsy black and white interior.

It's off the menu, but PEC Atlanta told me it would be possible.

And I've read multiple reports of people successfully maintaining the Chalk leather.
