It seems like the favorite tires of the forum are the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

However while it exists for 18” front tire size 235/45/18, but not for rear 265/45/18.

Has anyone gotten front Michelins to go with rear Pirelli P Zero instead of whole set Pirellis? It is better to have two great fronts with two mediocre rears than mediocre set of 4?

On my 986 i hade PS on the fronts and Hankooks on the rears.
It suited the cars perfectly, good traction on the front and a rear that wanted to slide a bit.

But i would not do that on the 718!
The amount of hp and torq in 718 coupled with a mid mounted engine needs PSM (if you not an Expert driver)
I have heard owners of 981 complained about strange handling when they mixed the fronts and rears.
i have an idea that its the PSM having problems.......

I would Never go down in size for the same reason!
Beter to buy new 19"/20" rims...
