Apparently a four cylinder is now accepted by the journalists...as long as it isn’t a turbo. What nonsensical criticism will they think of next?

My 944 Turbo with out a catalytic converter produced unbelievable sound. To each his own... I do find that I disagree quite a bit with journalists on both automotive and non-automotive subjects. Maybe they just want to grab clicks with provocative prose.

That's why they write about it and you own it... All they have to sell is their opinion, the more controversial, the better it seems... You can't go on for 60 years saying '...yup, Porsche batted it out of the ballpark once again...'

It is somewhat different if you have the choice, and it is your own hard earned cash, isn't it?

And Porsche wants that hard earned cash!... Strange eh?...

So they make all the 911 turbos (Except the GT3 for a number of reasons).

+1 What drives me crazy sometimes are the number of "me too, virtue signaling, self-proclaimed car enthusiasts" on youtube, who jump on these videos with their "hey look at me... look at me, I'm cool too" posts, and just trash the h3ll out of the 718 ........ having never driven one, much less actualy owning one They all make the exact same comments, "four cylinder sounds like crap", and "I'd never pay that much money for a car with a 4 cylinder"

Yes, but no air filter to speak of, no catalytic converter, and did it even have mufflers on a race car? But yes, I think old cars didn't have much getting in the way of a good sound.

Buncha' nonsense. Regardless of sales figures Porsche would never "admit" it was a mistake. In any case, it wasn't.
