I have the 14 way power seat with memory. I'm trying to get the seat from the all the way back to the saved in memory #1 driving position automaticaly. I did what the owners manual said and it moves a bit and stops wether getting in or out. Now I have to push & hold #1 after getting in & push and hold the "key" to get out. The seat moves very slow. My next Porsche will have manual seats.

When in "comfort entry" the seat only moves about 2 inches like it is set for someone over 6' tall. With it off the #1 button on the door works good for my 5' 8'. I think the key fob thinks I'm 6' so how do I reprogram the fob?

Have you programmed the key button on the door? Even so it work funny as when you unlock with the key it goes to the key position. Not the entry position. I kinda of gave up trying to get it to work. So use buttons 1 or 2 for my entry exit. Then when I plug in the key it moves to the key memory position.

I like my seat back more reclined than most and the comfort entry stops when the back contacts the bulkhead 'cause comfort entry doesn't change the recline angle.

So I set the 'key' setting for entry and exit the way I want it--height, recline, back, steering wheel--and use #2 for my driving position.

Unlock the car-->automatic entry and exit position.
Then sit and push #2 while closing the door. (As long as door is unlatched and ignition is off it only takes a quick press.)
Most of the time for exit I crack the door and push 'key'. If I forget (sometimes happens when door can be opened fully) then unlocking the car sets up the entry position.

Agree 100% that manual seats are better:

1. Lighter. ...it's a sports car and lightness is always good.

2. So easy to slide the seat all the way back...and up to your chosen setting...easily.

3. There is more adjustment back and down on the manual seats.

4. Less $.
