Hi everyone!

Took delivery of my first Porsche (718 S) at the end of November 2017. Didn't order it. It was an oddly (but well) spec'd car on the show room that had been there since the summer so they made me a pretty nice deal. Guards red with all kinds of black accents. Wasn't my first choice in terms of the color but I actually really love it now. Feels rare, looks GTS-ish.

Mostly drive it on weekends. Never driven to work - don't want them to think they overpay me. ;) Daily driver is an Allroad, and my only complaint is that it's not an RS4.

Aside from the initial shock of driving away in it from the dealership and asking myself "what have I just done?" - I have had zero regrets and only smiles when I drive it. It's just so much fun.

Nice to meet everybody!

Thanks! Happy to be finally be here.

Will send more pics for sure. Happy I have a place to share them.

Options:
PDK
PASM
Sport Chrono Pack
Premium Pack (seats, headlights, etc)
All the exterior styling that isn't red is painted in high-gloss black
GT Steering wheel (which took me by surprise once cause it's heated and I accidentally turned it on and had no idea how to turn it off. Comical.)

Stuff I did so far:
Xpel clear bra
Tinted windows
Contemplating ordering clear side markers but the clear bra guys threw me a freebie and wrapped them in a tinted/smoked vinyl so they look black right now. Can't decide if I love them or not but it has a consistent look for now. Fully aware it's probably not legal but neither are my windows.

Actually, that is not the GT Steering wheel option that simply is a smaller diameter steering wheel. You must also have the “heated multifunction steering wheel” which is nice in the winter. I guess by now you figured out were the heating on/off switch is..................

How much of the car is covered in XPEL?

Drive it to work. Enjoy it as much as you can. I bought a '99 Boxster in Nov '98. It was my daily driver except for really ugly snowy weather. Now has over 100k and it is a keeper. Most reliable car I ever owned. But I came into the 21st century with a CPO '17 718 S with PDK and 5,200 miles in February this year and love it too. Retired now but drive it as much as I can, though a really nice sunny day still gets the 986 out.
