According to the configurator, PSE is still standard like on my 2019. You would have to look at the specs yourself to see anything else. I'm not overly familiar with the 2017.

Interesting. I had issues with the water pump, as well. My car was in and out (mostly in) service for about 6 weeks until they replaced the whole coolant system. Since then, it has been working fine. They found that "coolant got into the water pump and fouled the lines" causing the car to constantly overheat. It took them forever to diagnose and fix it, but it was all covered under warranty. Is that what happened with you?

Since I got mine back I have been keeping an eye on the gauges. Water stays at 194 and oil sits between 194 and 205. The last few days my water temp has stayed constant at 194, but my oil temp has gone as high as 226. That is well below the red line, and I haven't gotten any warnings. It has been pretty cold here in LA (50s, sorry), and I haven't been doing anything other than my regular commute. What could cause the 20 degree spike? The oil is about 2k miles old.

The oil temp being higher on 'Normal' than in 'Sport' for driving in the same manner/same conditions has been confirmed by a number of members here. I observed it too in the summer, driving at highway speeds (70 mph) and flipping from Normal to Sport and back. (At the time I was trying to see whether there was a difference in fuel consumption in highway conditions between modes).

That is what I saw (oil temp was higher in Normal than Sport) but since that seems counterintuitive I thought there was a problem re-emerging. Good to hear that is not the case. Thanks for the info.
As for gas mileage, I have found that in city driving Sport mode costs about 2 mpg. On the highway, there is essentially no difference.

There was, but I think it was just confirmation bias...
I haven't seen it mentioned, but the reason it lowers the target oil temperature in Sport/Sport+ is because it is preparing for the engine to be flogged, and is attempting to accommodate for that. I don't quite remember 100%, but on the track, in sport mode, I want to say my oil temps were in the 230º F to 240º F range.
