Greetings All

My name is Dan and I'm in the UK.

Placed an order for my first Porsche back in January and is as follows

718 Cayman
Night blue metallic
PDK
Standard interior with leather package
Porsche logo on head rests
Carrera Classic wheels
64 ltr tank
Sports tailpipes
Light design package
Folding mirrors inc courtesy lighting
Auto dimming mirrors
Park assist F&R
GT steering wheel
Multifunction wheel
Heated seats
Smoking pack
Wheel centres in colour
Climate
Seatbelts in silver grey
Speed limit display
Bi-Xenons with PDSL

Delivery expected mid April but my OPC has been excellent and lent me a car yesterday as I was off. I really need this to go into lockdown asap as the above list is a 'small' adjustment to the original order. The configurator is just too tempting.

Plans are a full front and rocker panel PPF, ceramic coating on bodywork and wheels.

Looking forward to being part of the community.

Welcome and congrats.

I just did the full front and rocker PPF but I added the rear fenders as well. Seems every time I get service there's little scratches on the fenders from them leaning over the car. Sure they use a cover but how clean is that thing?

For the rears it means one piece all the way over the door and down the A-Piller. Gets kind of pricy since it's such a large piece of film, but I felt that was a safe investment. Now I'm going back to have the rest of the car done since the only parts I didn't cover were doors, roof and full rear bumper. Figure I'm that far into it, I might as well finish.

I did the full front including mirrors prior to delivery, and later added rockers but only just below and just aft of the air intakes as those area were becoming pitted. With about 8000 miles around town and on the highway I haven't noticed any other parts of the car in need of PPF. Wish there was a good way of protecting the windshield though!

In regards to windshield protection, I have ExoShield installed on both cars. It definitely saved my windshield already as it took a loud hit on the highway, but thankfully no damage.

I paid around $400 with taxes.
Does the film on the windshield degrade radio (including Sirius/XM) reception?

I haven’t noticed any degradation of radio reception. In regards to Sirius, I do not have a subscription, but I am pretty certain that the receiver for it is the wart on the rear part of the roof.

Dan, so you were expecting the car in April but didn't get it till July/August? What did they tell you re: ∆ 5 months and when was V260?

When I ordered the car I was told 3 months so it should have been an April/ may delivery. Unfortunately covid hit and the factory closed resulting in a 3 month delay. In all I waited 7 months from ordering.
