Just got a 2019 718, traded in a 2018 Panamera. Both base models.
Looking for tips as well as sharing what I learn.

First tip, remove/disable the soundaktor (if you have it).

Forgive my newbie question, but what is soundakator?

On the short term upgrade list:

• Clear side markers
• Wind deflectors
• Grill screens
• Clear bra and windshield protector

The soundaktor is a resonator on your firewall. It's controlled in conjunction with the ECM. It creates an ambient low frequency sound in the car's cabin. Apparently, Porsche was concerned that the exhaust note of the car was not sufficient in some way or another, so they used this VW device to augment it.

There are threads in the forum about it and how to disable it. Just search soundaktor.

Hi, all! I am in Orange County as well. I just installed Smarttop on my 2019 Boxster GTS myself; Porsche Irvine declined to install it because it is not an OEM product. Installation turned out easy and smooth! Now, I can control the top and windows with the key fob. Enjoy your new toy!
